Mines doing the same thing. There is some kind of cheap-ass laminate they put over the handle. I thought it was tape residue so I picked at it until I realized it was part of the handle.

yes, it's covered by warranty. There was an SIB and the parts were updated to be colored-through instead of coated. There are tons of threads on this, including one quite recently that listed SIBs for E90/91 and E92.

I have the same exact thing happening. For now Im leaving it as is, as I dont want to have to deal with the dealer and taking out the Procede. Mine is not as bad though. I just have one pencil eraser size spot.
