I just noticed that there is a new N7 firmware update (1.0.5.6). Is there a changelog available somewhere?

Edit: nevermind, I found it.

In German:

"Bluetooth Verbindungsprobleme wurden beseitigt
Im Zusammenspiel mancher Funktionen kam es zu einem Ohrenbetäubenden
Ton / Knall. Dieses Problem wurde beseitigt.
Bei manchen Fahrzeugen mit einem Soundsystem kam es vor, dass kein Ton
abgespielt wurde. Das wurde behoben.
Einstellungen für den Rückwärtsgang in den Systemeinstellungen werden
nun gespeichert."

Translate by google:

"Bluetooth connection problems have been resolved
In the interplay of some functions it came to a deafening
Sound / bang. This problem has been resolved.
On some vehicles with a sound system, it did not sound
was played. This has been fixed.
Settings for the reverse gear in the system settings will be
saved now."

I experienced the last one a few times, let's see.

Yeah, thats it, the important fix is for a "no sound" condition and the reverse setting that would sometimes not stick.

I am interested in getting the N7 E9X for auto aircon

Can someone please confirm if the trim around the aircon fits flush or if it "sticks" out a bit like other double din facias?

In my case I haven't been able to fit it perfectly "flush" at the bottom, it's a bit off but it's barely noticeable. In short, you know it's not perfect but no other would notice.

Pic below.

Did you do the trimming I showed in the first post? Install the metal clips that hold it in at the bottom? Yours certainly is not very noticeable but you should be able to get it all the way flush.....this is where I ended up on my car:

Jeff, you're a genius! I remembered those metal clips inside the packaging but at the time I couldn't find any use for them. After reading your post I HAD to pull off the radio, install the clips and put the radio back in place.

Now my N7 is perfectly flush, exactly as yours.

Thanks again, I really appreciated it.

I currently have an N6 installed and want to upgrade to an N7. Will the N7 plug into the N6 harness and will the N6 MOST adapter be OK with the N7 or do I need to buy a new one.
Thanks

Hi All,

Does anyone know if I can use another DAB antenna on the N6 DAB unit? Can I use an amplified one? The windscreen one has failed after a windscreen replacement. I have a feeling it is amplified based on the sticky earthing bit.

the harnesses are different since the dynavin N7 has all the canbus interface functionality built in now and not in a separate module. But thats just included so its pretty easy to just swap the parts out. As far as I recall the software is different on the MOST interface so you will need to order appropriately.

Ugh....

I have a Dynavin N7 that I bought for x-mas.

Do you think Dynavin will sell a software update that allows Dynavin 7 owners to to purchase so they can use Apple play without having to purchase the additional module?

The revised version* of the N6 DAB takes an SMB connector. I've use mine both with an amplified bee-sting roof antenna on the bench and with a passive (unamplified) through-glass external antenna on the car's rear window. The amplified antenna worked very well, but the passive works too although drops out in low signal areas.

*The original took an SMA

(Shame we can't upload "colourful icons" like for the FM radio screen, but I like that it remembers the saved DAB stations when the battery is disconnected)

The N7 is the current version, N6 is from a few years ago.

N7 has: a higher res, better visibility screen, capacitive touch panel, better DSP chip (better EQ and sound adjustment settings), sat radio ready (with SVX300 Sirius tuner), internal Canbus interface, and a bunch of other little improvements.

I still much prefer the interface design on the N6 though! The simpler, coloured menu icons are so much cleaner than the pictures used on the N7.

I just put in my order for an N7 pro. It allegedly ships within a week. I'll report back once I get it installed.
