Beige with titanium/aluminum is one of those combos that really seem to polarize opinions. So, it seems, does Barrique, for that matter. I'm not crazy about beige myself. I appreciate it, but I wouldn't spend my hard-earned on it. Why? Who knows... maybe I've yet to have a beige epiphany. But like Ledzep said, here's to freedom of choice.

I think the color looks great. I would have considered it If it was out in August...

I'm still a littl confused... I loved the Barrique red on the BMW site, but these shots look a lot more "Root Beer" than burgundy.
Are these shots accurate? Is it fair to say the color is more brown than burgundy?

I stopped by my dealer yesterday - they received the Barrique Red 330i they had on order. I wouldn't consider it a brown (or "root-beer") color at all. It's definately a shade of red - a very unique shade of red. Reminds me of a lipstick color.

I plan to take some photos of it this weekend and post them. The car hadn't been cleaned up yet, so it was a bit dirty. I think once they clean it up, it will look great.

I'll have to say, I think I like it. This particular one had a beige, non-sport interior, which I didn't particularly care for. I would definately get the gray leather sport seats, myself.

X5 and X3 Terra isn't Terra - its Terra Cotta. Your CA kinda screwed you. My CA tried to do the same number, but now that Terra 3 series are hitting the lot I like it alot.

We considered this color for the wagon, but were afraid that it would go "too purple" in certain light. Some of these pictures confirm that. Nice color, but I'm glad we chose Arctic instead.

I sat in a Barrique with Terra at the above Escondido BMW dealership. It was really nice. The Terra and Barrique match very closely and have a nicely coordinated look. The car was in the showroom and had chromed wheels. Very flashy. After seeing one driving down the road and sitting in it at the dealer, i decided to get that color combo over a Sp. Gr / black leather combo. It will be different for sure, which is also good in my book.

I didn't get any photos but i think i may go back out there this weekend and take a few. I'll post'm if i do.

Here are some shots of a Escondido Barrique Red car. Unfortunately, the really flashy 330i with chrome wheels sold. But here was a 325i on the lot in good sun.

I finally saw a 330 with Barrique on the road. I do have to say that the pics really do not do it justice... Thay all look a bit brown, but it is a nice shade in real life. I was shocked by how muted the tone was. Barrique and Terra would be a great combo.

I also saw one in person today for the first time. It's cloudy here today and the red hue was almost indiscernable from certain angles, giving the car an apparent value similar to Sparkling Graphite. I was expecting worse, but found it nice to look at as it rolled past.

I purchased my barrique red E90 last weekend... I wasn't planning on getting that color.. in fact, it was probably the last color that I thought I would get.. but when I saw it in person.. I thought it was the best color!

OK so I drove 80 miles round trip today to see a Barrique. The minute I got out of my car I was disappointed. It does look root beerish. It was really weird. I wanted to like the color but I couldn't. When I was in the dealership I would look at it from inside-out and it looked kinda cool and purplish. When I was up close it looked really nice and sparkly. But in the middle it is just kinda gross and brownish.

I am really disappointed in the color selection so far. I would have been very happy with Ultramarine Blue (which was replaced by Mystic). Arctic looks cool half the time, not so cool the other, a little too effeminate. Esp since I take lots of crap about my 'lavender' car - it's really Samoa Blue - at work. Now I may have to go with the old standby...Silver or SG.

It was a beautiful day and lighting couldn't be better. I took my camera, only to figure out that I had a dead battery. So the camera phone is the best I could do.

On the bright side I got a little crazy on the way home with the old E36.

But the bottom line is that I think it's great that BMW lets you combine any exterior/interior combo! Most manufacturers only offer their "canned" packages.
Slightly off topic, but if the dealer showed you the X3's interior, that's terra cotta, which is much more pinky-orangy than terra. Terra is actually an earthy, chocolately brown, with a little bit of rust hue to it.

No doubt about it, to BMW for its wide variety of interior/exterior combos. I think the terra would look really hot with the Barrique exterior, IMO.

As the proud new (1100 miles) owner of a Barrique Red with Terra interior (ordered that way), it looks fantastic! The dealer had one come in the same time as mine with beige interior, and it makes the exterior look purple The terra with the dark wood is a very calming combination.

I took a drive to check it out and was disappointed. I was hoping for a rich deep wine color, but it is a brownish hue.

you DEFINETLY should see this color in person before ordering

it's very distinctive, and you can't tell from the small samples

just like you can't tell SG is a bit purple from a small sample
