After getting the ABS and Brake warning lights last night, I ran Carly for BMW and found the front right ABS sensor died. I ordered online and should be error free in a few days. Then I washed it since we should have more than three days without rain...if only the local cats would stay off of it.

Last week went from 10 to 18mm rear spacer, cut out some fender liner, shaved where the quarterpanel meets the rear bumper.

Broke off this stud (bottom right):
Drilled out the rest, went to Lowe's, got an M8x1.25x25 bolt and flange nut. Fit right in with a little wiggling. Just need to hold the top with a 13mm wrench which fits just right. Saved around $30 or so and didn't need to remove the big subframe bolt. I took off the other one and put anti-seize on it. I found one exhaust clamp was very rusty and kind of loose but won't tighten any further, so I've ordered a new one. |

Swapped exhausts with a friend, his was bone stock and mine was a muffler delete with 3" piping from the res. Cut off the muffler before I even installed it in preparation for the new setup

Found the ELV connector to be cut... that would explain the CAS/DME issue I've been dealing with! It seems the previous owner had replaced the steering column with the newer non-ELV column, yet instead of adding an emulator, they just thought it would be a good idea to swap to MSV80/CAS 3. Never gonna work on a 2006!
Emulator should be here Monday or Tuesday, so hopefully that will get this thing running.

Installed new paddle shifters and carbon fiber steering wheel cover. I messed up and pinched the wires for the left shifter when i pushed in the airbag. So I stripped the wires and used wire nuts to connect it. Tested the buttons and shifters after. All working fine. I did get a passenger restraint error but cleared the code with MHD then restarted the car and it didn't come back. Hopefully it doesn't come back. Now waiting for IND/Pedal Haus to send me the correct brake pedal! They sent me pedal set for manual when I put AUTOMATIC! Waited over a month for the pedals too. |

Update us on the Pedal Haus. Seem like a good choice from my many researching pedals. They seem to have the best design and quality for the money. Curious if they are made in CA or was delayed due to Covid. When I contacted them last year they were great.
