Software and Intake Combos

Hey, first time on here. I have a stock '08 328i and the warranty just expired so I figured it's safe to add some performance parts. I'm considering air intakes and software. The intakes I'm looking at are the injen, the afe stage II and the dinan. As far as software goes I'm looking at the active autowerke but will consider other options as well. I'm looking for the best combo that yields the most results. Any input would be appreciated.

Intakes are a dime a dozen. They're pretty much the same, just adding a volume of sound. As for tuning, AA Stage2 (Recommend), BMS Powerbox, OE Tuning/Gintani, ESS Tuning.

I talked to the folks at AA and it seems like it is a pretty in depth process to get the software matched with your individual vehicle. Is this the case with most of the tuner? I know it isn't with the powerbox
