Remove O-rings on oil filter easily with a zip tie (ty-wrap)

I don't have a tool for removing O-rings from the oil filter when doing my oil changes.

Recently I discovered that I could use Walmart bought zip ties to do it easily and without any danger of damaging the oil filter housing.

For the small O-ring you use the smallest zip ties that Walmart sells. You pass it through and then lock the zip ties and then just pull up on the zip tie. There is no way it can slip.

For the large O-ring a 6 to 8 inch zip will do.

Since zip ties are plastic there is virtually no way to damage anything.

I've attached an image of the smallest O-ring getting done this way.
