Best Sydney weekend getaways?

Recently I've been very interested in driving a few hours out of Sydney and heading to a picturesque area and spending a night preferably camping!

If you guys have any great spots please do share!

Cheers!

Hungry Jacks at Hexham is a nice spot

Jokes....

If you head North, towards Coffs, there are plenty of little coastal towns which are great
If you head South, towards Bega, there are lots of places along the way
If it was me I'd just drive and see where you end up

Berry is very nice if you like cafes etc and only a couple of hours south (nice day trip)
If you really want to get away head down to Batemans Bay, lots of quite beaches, but if you want the bush there are plenty of mountains and state forest near by

For us North Shore boys i reckon its a real eye opener going to central Bansktown for the day and enjoying the drive past all the beautiful hecticness. Just don't forget your passport and make sure to wear Champion or Adidas trackies.

Have been twice so far. First time was pretty quiet (4-5 people from another group). Went again two nights ago and had loads more fun in a 15 kart derby

Yo OP, look at Fitzroy Falls / Kangaroo Valley.

I did a golfnet drive down to Kangaroo Valley and some random areas around there (Avon Dam or something?) and it was a great day out.

I did the National Park and went through to Robertson on the weekend, love the twisty roads on the bike but have even more fun in the car!

Awesome Pie shop at Robertson too.
