e92 LCI tail light conversion quesiton

I know this question has been asked before but I can't find the thread about it. How do I convert my 2007 e92 tail lights to the e92 LCI tail lights? What do I need?

Order LCI tailights from here (yes, this is the best price)
http://www.trademotion.com/partlocat...catalogid=4462

Install on your car with the included retrofit cables

Get coded, either locally or remotely. I think Grant is in the bay area and can do it for you. You will need to get coded to get rid of the bulb checks that occur on start-up. The lights will flash a few times.

I was told you can code the car without. I will find out soon when I get remote coded by BimmerTech.

Look up Mckenna BMW lci on google, they have a sale for them right now. Also once you get them you would need to get them coded. I got mine and since I haven't coded them yet the blinker blinks really fast. I'll look for the URL for the tail lights and send it to you

Instead of worrying about remote coding - just buy the BMWhat app for Android or iPhone. It will do the coding you need for the LCI tail swap + MANY other nice coding options/service reset/code reader/configurable realtime 'dashboard', etc.

EZ to use, connects by BT to most BMW's (cable to some of the older) using either phones or tablets, not expensive

Just check out the numerous posts in the Coding Section about the app...

All dealership sold taillights are US Spec = red turn signals. EU spec (which have different part numbers, and cost a few hundred $ more) have amber turn signals. DEPO replica LCI tails have amber turn signals.

U.S. LCI Tails = Red Turns

Euro LCI Tails = Amber Turns (you can get these from ECSTuning)

** Actually the US Spec & Euro Spec light kits are the same price @ ECSTuning = $670 (without FRM)

PnP - no mods necessary other than the needed Wiring Harness Adapter that comes with the kit

Am I the only one who likes the pre-LCI tails better? I just don't like the "tubes" in the LCI tails. They look weird to me. I like the tubes in the pre-LCI tails though.
