yeah, there are just some details to work out on our end.
Be patient guys - this platform has been around for 11 years, a couple weeks or so won't kill ya. PS, Terra, I'm still planning on meeting somebody for a dyno test - he had some mechanical issues with his car he needed to sort out first though. As far as CobraMarty's mod, the car I've been working with has been basically grounded due to snow.. so I don't have anything new to report. I think I just want to confirm that the maximum eccentric shaft angle is indeed ~175 degrees, but I think what he's come up with so far is just about right. |

The modified support will not have any influence on the eccentric shaft angle.
Whatever your maximum ECC angle is before the modified supports are added will be the same after the modified supports are installed. Version 1 has one area modified for increase lift. Version 3- now at the machinists has version 1 mod + version 2 mods which is 2 more areas modified for even more lift. |

Although, I'd like to see what it does with version 3.. if only my engine actually leaked oil, I'd have an excuse to get these popped in there already. |

Still, I would need you to modify my maps, so I can't do anything until after you. |

Can't measure it directly, but we were seeing 173 degrees with some tweaks to the tolerances - so I'd guess about 10.3-10.4mm. I believe i can safely attain 174 degrees.

OK picked up 3 sets from the machinist.
1-New and 2-Used sets. All 3 sets with BOTH types of mods done. Instead of pushing the limit with one mod, I have 2 different mods done to the part. Both mods on their own will increase valve lift. Together increase lift more. I am leaving shortly to go to Moab UT for 'Easter Jeep Safari' and wont be home until the 18th. Then I can get them packaged to ship. |

Heard today that BPC tried a set of 'Stage 1' Supports and found +5hp across the board.
IDK if that was with stock tuning or with added tuning. Dyno graphs to follow. I sent them a set of 'Stage 2' with an additional 0.4-0.5mm lift to try. Not too bad as +5HP in these engines is hard to come by. Would like to see these on a N55 engine too. |

no, the tune needs to be adjusted. We did a before and after install and did not see any power gains, however, with adjustments might be looking at 10hp to the wheels

Esp. how different 'stages' are yielding. If the car is streetable (idle is not too erratic), I wouldn't mind getting this installed on mine. CobraMarty I admire your experimentation. Bob@BPC Thank you for taking on this little project and testing it. |
