For sale is a 2010 BMW 335d sedan in Space Gray Metallic with black leather interior. The car has 245k miles on the odometer. This example is generously equipped with the Sports Package, Premium Package, Navigation system, fold-down rear seats, and shadowline (gloss black) exterior trim. This is an inline 6 cylinder turbo diesel engine (3.0L) rated at 265 hp and 425 lb-ft stock. This example has a software tune and performance catalytic converter installed that raises power output beyond stock. Power is delivered to the rear wheels (RWD) via 6-speed automatic transmission. Exceptional features include: Xenon adaptive headlights, comfort access keyless entry, heated front seats, factory Harman Kardon sound system, and power glass moonroof. This car provides a fantastic driving experience with great steering feedback (thanks to the hydraulic steering rack and legendary BMW driving dynamics), a smooth and effortless power delivery, and a solid sense of traction.. feeling glued to the road. The Bad:
This is a lemon/buyback vehicle. BMWNA repurchased from the previous owner in 2012.
Engine code and Service Engine Soon light for "Throttle-valve actuator" (43D1 and 43E2 on the Foxwell). This may be the sensor gone bad? Car drives fine.
Misc fluid line “weeping” under hood (oil and/or power steering)
Small fuel leak (rear passenger side) if tank is topped off. I stop at 15 gallons.
Windshield cracks in multiple locations
Underpanel delete
Some visible/black exhaust present at full throttle (aftermarket cat; may not pass emissions testing in some areas)
Small dents and paint marks typical for age and mileage
Visible dents near rear passenger taillight and front driver side fender
Clearcoat peel visible on front bumper/fascia
Could use a claybar and wax to really bring out the clear coat shine
Front fascia plastic “grills” are broken
