Also, no appreciable amount of meth sprays out of the bypass valves since we close the methanol valve during lift throttle conditions
Fair enough I thought I saw it during my dynos...would automatics be different?

Great job guys. It's not all about a peak number, the power band on this setup is awesome. Better act fast PTE prices are going up Monday! Only like $50.00 bucks though haha.

Its just funny how the same lemmings are in here day in and day out criticizing the company that has pushed this platform since its inception.
I would agree, we are talking about two different cars on two different dynos that were what, single digits off from each other? Thats 1% difference, that could be due to dozens of things. Claims by either party to have the higher whp is crazy, they are for all intents and purposes, equal atm.

On the vargas side, I would agree, I wanted to pull the trigger after seeing the first dynos, but $3k+ deposit on a protype with no history, I was suprised by the number of folks that jumped. Then again, we saw the same thing with shivs.

At the end of the day, all this dyno talk is cheap and world records here mean nothing except on forums. Lets see some 1/4 miles and 60-130 records fall.

Mad props Shiv! It's funny how I was just thinking about all the little nitpicking you were getting yesterday, like you did something wrong. Let there be no doubt the 700 whp barrier has been smashed!
Is this homepage worthy?

Interesting definition of "smashed." With smoothing at 0 it is over 700. With it at 5 (like literally all other dynos posted on here) it is below 700.

Peak Dyno numbers mean very little in the overall picture. Lets see some track numbers to back them up.

Shiv, thanks for answering my previous questions. What are the possibilities of a ride or drive if I fly out one weekend soon? I have a ton of questions and I'm sure I'll think of more during the conversation, but I want the o shit feeling before i make my wallet say o shit! Hahaha...

So, how does a ride along at least for a 6466 sale sound?

Sure, I enjoy giving people rides in single turbo cars. Give either us or FFTEC a call and let us know when you are in the area and maybe we can make something happen.

You haven't seen the dyno chart Shiv posted this morning on page 7. In case you didn't notice, the current record is now 715 whp.

I have driven Shiv's car, which I think was below 700WHP at the time I drove it, and it scared the sh*t out of me.

I am not actually sure why most people would want more than 600+ WHP, unless you are a super skilled driver or have a death wish.

BUT, it is fun to see the platform's limits at other's expense

My 400+ WHP E85 car is plenty fast for me.

How do you know it was below 700? How do you know he didnt have an uncorrected graph at the time that made it lower than it really was?
I will only be happy when he races a cheeta but the cheeta has to have exactly 1914 spots on it or it does not count. Thus must be done with at least 10 gazelle watching to prove that it was a real cheeta. And it must be done in the quarter because at least 90 % of us drag race. I think it would only be fair for aples to apples if shiv painted the same # of spots on his car...
Oh and btw I want graphs, video and a mutha&*%in blood sample. All before you take your morning piss.

You are absolutely right. I owned a 410awhp car before and had friends who had cars with HP ranging from 350 to 900whp and IMO, for a street daily driven car, the sweet spot is between 450 and 500whp for fun and a little reliability.

Because everyone's mother had 400whp. You've gotta distance yourself from
The masses.

GTRs, GT500s, and Z06s at every corner. We have to level the playing field.

If it's street dominance (without going to prison) you want, it's traction, not whp you need. My old 325whp AWD DSM would rip sub 3.0s 0-60s all day long on the street because it had a stutterbox, built trans/diff, clutch, and 235 DR's. It would get murdered on 60-130 runs, but with my previous driving record, those kind of races meant jail time.

I find my 360whp/450wtq N55 RWD car is almost right. Another 100whp would be perfect. As it is, with 275mm Michelin PSS it spins 1st and 2nd when boost ramps with ease...

I'm amazed that all these people don't know the difference between the smoothing settings on the dynojets and are making a big stink over it.

IMO a smoothing of 0 should always be used. A smoothing of 5 just masks minor tune issues.

I think what some people probably aren't understanding is the way this was presented was completely deliberate to get a rise out of certain people. He made more than 700 but is keeping that for later because posting exactly 700whp was way more fun for us all.

The fact that people are complaining about smoothing 0 is one of the funniest things i've ever read on these forums... scratch that... ANY forum - and exactly what would be expected from certain parties.

I hear that. I'm thinking about taking my car to 700WHP but it already gets the triple digits way too fast.

Wish we had some air strips out here available to the public, then it would be worth it.
