BMW Service loaner????????????
I thought when you dropped your car off for any kind of service and picked up a loaner it is supposed to be a BMW? I dropped my car off today to get the alarm activated and they gave me a Mazda 6

Just depends on the dealer.
Unfortunetely BMWNA doesn't regulate this. Erhard BMW (where I bought my car) always has a fleet of current model year BMWs for loaners. I've had a 325i and a 525i from them. BMW North Scottsdale sucks a** and gave me a lift to Hertz, where I was shelled out $40 for an VW Jetta. I got to the car and it wouldn't start, so I raised hell and they put me in an Audi A3 for the day. Chapman BMW Scottsdale is pretty good and put me in a 328i touring. Only issue is they have a limited number of loaners.

In my experience, you should ask.
I got a Camry once but since it wasn't overnight I didn't bother complaining. Fast Forward to yesterday. I know my service guys pretty well now so I simply said "Hey, got a 335 lying around"? And they did. And fun was had by all on I95

ohh god, i'm about to drop my ride at the dealer today it shifts from side to side when i'm shifting and is making a horrible noise, but anyway i've asked them about a loaner and they said that first they have to verify that my warranty will cover the repairs and then they will give me a ride to enterprise question is do i get the car of the same value and quality??????????????????

Doesn't that seem like a question for the dealer?????????????????? As explained above, whether you get a BMW or even a loaner at all depends on the dealer's policy.................. It is not a BMW NA rule that dealers have to offer loaner cars.................. Many don't offer a loaner at all!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

as said, depends on the dealer.
in most cases, request a bmw loaner at the time you set your appointment. at the dealer i go to, once they run out of bmw loaners, you get a rental from the on-site enterprise rent-a-car.

My dealership now supposedly provides loaners for any service as long as you bought the car from them. Although, you do need to book about 10-14 days ahead.
Last week, I got a SG/Black/SP e90-28 loaner. I didn't know about the change for the previous trip and paid for my rental. I got a Accord from Hertz. It was either the Accord or a Grand Prix. When I was in last week, a lady actually got a Infiniti M35. I was like asking the Hertz guy "how come I never get an Infiniti when I rent from you?"

Dude..be happy you actually were given a car. # of loaners depends on size of the dealership and the time at which u drop off the car. You can increase your chance of getting a BMW loaner by dropping the car off early AM or Late afternoon, and sometime mid-week or Saturday.

Some dealers are picky on where you originally purchased your BMW. If you did not purchase from them, then you will only loan out a Hertz car to you. Again, it really depends on which dealer you go to.
Usually, ask your SA at the time you make an appointment to schedule you in a BMW loaner. |
