RFT....
after waiting almost 8 weeks for my 335i to get here and reading what everyone had to say about the RFT... people had me convinced that i would be picking up my car with 4 square cinderblocks for tires....
they aren't as bad as everyone says... maybe i feel that way because i just came from the g35 with the 19's and those tires were LOUD.... but the RFT is a pretty smooth ride... im sure when i switch in the summer to sport tires i'll notice a difference but as of right now... these aren't bad i know people are going to say "then why switch in the summer" im going to put about 10k miles on these tires and then store them... so at the end of the lease i'll put them back on... i hear they aren't cheap to replace |

They don't sound bad at all, until you switch. Your jaw will drop... it will be dead silent!

I just tracked my car with the RFTs and I was pretty impressed with them. Of course, if I had my choice, I'd go with a better performance tire but I'm low on the funds right now.

Sorry to hijack this thread but if you change from RFT, what do people do when they get flats? I'm guessing call BMW service?
I would find that really annoying. I would much rather pull out the spare and change the tire myself and get the tire fixed when I get home. Does anyone carry a spare tire in the trunk? |

I got a spare for mine. I switched out the RFTs and bought a set of Good Year with the stock rims. I also got 2 spares at home just because they were cheap (I bought extra rims)

You almost don't notice the ride getting louder and louder until one day you can't hear yourself think. My second set have been on the car for about 1000 miles and I've noticed they're getting louder.
