To be precise (and when has a pedant ever disliked preciseness? ), it's 6.5 liters, which works out to just a bit under 6.9 quarts. For goodness' sake, put in 7 quarts!

I just did my oil change : I put in 6.5 qts and the oil level indicator bar showed 3/4 full. I added about 0,2 qt more and the indicator showed "max". So overall I needed to add 6,7 qts for the indicator to show "full"

I put in a full 6 qt, started the car, and waited for the sensor to tell me where I'm at. It reads OK, and 3/4 full mark. Should I add more? I know these call for 6.9qt

For oil change, fill with 7 qts and be done with it.
These are not new cars, people have been adding 7 qts for a long long time (including me), not an issue, and the computer always shows full mark (not less not more) after oil change.

It's fine. Wait until it tells you to add a full quart, then add a full quart. "OK" means the oil level is in the safe range.

Did you drive the car after the oil chnge, or just let it sit there and idle until the engine warmed up?

Next time just refill with 7 quarts.

7 quarts on my F80 M3 and 333is. The difference between 6.5L and 7 quarts is just over 100ml. I’m pretty OCD about these things but not to the point where I’ll care about that extra 100ml lol

I always start by putting in 6 litres, run the engine for a minute or so, then for a short drive until I get an oil level reading - when I am happy that it shows me the 50% level I then return and top up with the remaining 500ml (0.5 litres) which then takes it to 100% level. I think we are over-thinking this - the dealer just pours in the full amount regardless. So chances are, engines are always ever so slightly over but not enough for the electronic dipstick to detect, so it's fine.
