Just changed AT Fluid, AWD Transfer Case and Differential Oil
2008 E92 at an unaggressively driven 99k miles.
The difference is really noticeable. My indy mechanic said he was surprised how clean the AT fluid was, "pretty clear and smell was good." No real metal in the pan at all. AWD Transfer case "timings were reset." Whatever that means. Front diff was a bit low on fluid. Rear diff was fine. 807$ out the door @ 65$ an hour (Central Illinois.) He said the AT fluid and metal was good sign of longevity and he liked the BMW version of my transmission. Oddly enough he said the AT was based off of a GM design. |

I allso changed my AFT and filter out of my 2011 E90 non x at 77k. The color was very dark allmost black. When I chanfged the Z3's transmission fluid at 50k the color was a little lighter. They both have GM transmission

We changed the axle, transfer case, and automatic transmission fluids at 50,000 miles in my wife's 328xiT. I was really surprised by how much smoother the transmission shifted after the fluid change. Maybe due to resetting the adaptation values?
