BLIZZAK snow tires

Are BLIZZAK LM-25 good tires for a 328i in the snow/ice? I have all seasons on this car and the traction is not good in a winter situation.

As long as you got winters, you're good to go.

I would look for a newer design, these LM-25's have been around for a while. You want something with lots of sipes (area for water to go to give you bite in ice and snow) so something like the Conti Viking Contact 7's or Blizzak WS-80's would get my vote. Also cant go wrong with Michelin X-ice tires as they're a very popular option here in Toronto. Also don't overthink it, having even the crappiest no-name dedicated winter tires is better than not having them at all when the white stuff starts falling.

I hated the LM25s. They're not that good in the snow honestly since they're a performance winter tire. I would look as the WS90s or Altimax Artic 12

+1

I have the Altimax Arctic 12, and they have turned my RWD 328i into a tank in the snow. I drove through 6" of snow in hilly terrain without issue. I'm on my third season with them and they still have plenty of tread and grip really well. They are quiet, handle decent, and were cheap for my 16" winter wheel set. I'm buying them again when these wear out.
