Quick update

I've decided to part out the car. Will be selling parts that are inside the vehicle first since It is parked in a public place.

Sorry don't have any of those!

what's been happening is that every time I try to part out the car locally someone says they want to buy the car whole, they beat me up on price over the phone then when I agree on price and date for pick up they disappear. lol

So I haven't really done anything with it. If selling the parts is going to be as time consuming I might just fix it at my own pace. Might end up being less of a time investment. Than having to deal with hundreds of people removing the part and going to the post office to ship it.

Undecided.

Meanwhile I bought a crashed 2014 535D M sport with M Package ..that I will be deleting so my attention is hardly on this car.

here is my build thread on the 535D

If a cheap engine rears it's head that might even be a less painful option. we shall see.

Meanwhile I have the new camshaft and rockers on hand.

Finally pulled the cylinder head. Only damage visible is these weird markings on cylinder 6

Anyone care to explain what would cause this?

There is always the possibility I caused that damage upon removal. But since it looks covered with soot I think it happened while the engine was still running.

Edit:

Lookey look what I found

There is something embeded in the cylinder, It looks threaded and has a head. This explains the intermitent mechanical slow downs.

The screw must have been bouncing around until it finally hit the valve in the open position.

But where did this screw come from.
