Cobb exhaust vs. VRSF exhaust?
Looking at installing either of these cat-back exhausts because of the low to no drone when cruising, but they both really open up at WOT.
I've read countless threads and seen tons of videos of both, and they almost seem identical however I've never seen direct comparisons of the two. I really like the 4" tips on the Cobb versus the smaller VRSF tips but I know I can always swap the tips out. I just can't justify the $400-500 cost difference between the two so I'm leaning towards the VRSF. Any insight would be appreciated! |

VRSF Cat Back = $679.99 The Cobb seems to be not as loud as the VRSF exhaust. I'm basing this on the videos found on both websites. I don't think $1295.00 is all that bad for a brand new exhaust to be honest. The Cobb has a nice linear sound at high revs. The VRSF sounds more like a 335is or BMW Performance exhaust with catless downpipes. You should also look into buying a used BMW Performance exhaust. They tend to run $700 to $900.00 on this forum. Some are just the mufflers. Some are car back. Brand New the BMW performance exhaust is around $1200.00 ad can still be purchased brand new. |

Thanks md, that's the exact type of feedback I was looking for as I'm not a big fan of the M-Performance raspy sound ala VRSF. Cobb does sound a bit deeper at high revs than the VRSF so that changes things.

Putting High Flow Resonators on an existing system with catless downpipes would eliminate 90+% of rasp. |
