Now that I have Catted DPs, stock side inlets and am working on a new Wedge/MHD tune, I hope to see something between 380 and 400 awhp on 93 octane. I probably won't have time for a dyno for the next month or so but will post numbers once it's done.

Second run dropped as I am not hitting boost target. Car won't hold more than 16 PSI all the sudden. Something started leaking pressure at Dyno session. Replaced all vacuum lines and tightened IC connections.. will check DVs, including springs and TB gasket tomorrow!!

my first dyno
Hey guys,
So I drove up to Joysee last Saturday to the East Coast 2017 Bimmerfest and had a ton of fun, saw many amazing rides and I got to dyno my Izzy for the 1st time. They messed up the first two runs by upshifting early (especially the 2nd run.) The last two runs were legit. I really could have pressed them to do another real 3rd run but didn't want to make a scene. I have a 2013 335is DCT. My performance mods are: Mishimito FMIC COBB catted DPs Active Autowerke charge pipe and BOV BMS High flow air filter MHD tune (I normally run Stage 2+ but this was my first time trying a 25% e85 mix with the rest 93 map). I am very happy with the results. Not sure what my regular Stage 2+ is putting down but it definitely feels strong. I did notice the car having more torque with e85. I did a 7th gear pull just for fun from 60-120mph and it pulled very hard. What do you guys make of my results? Last edited by viperx100; 07-31-2017 at 11:11 AM.. |

What is a good way to log for a dyno chart?
I have the MHD data logger. Made my first three logs today. I'm currently stock (running 93 octane), and I want to go FBO as soon as possible. I want to measure every upgrade to see exactly what does what. I uploaded the file into Virtual Dyno, and this is the result. The power looks far to low to me. I have 2 completely new BMW turbo's on my '07 N54, running on octane 93 (RON 98). If I look into the log file from MHD I see much higher torques. Even far to high for a stock car (480Nm/354 lb-ft). See: datazap.me Turbo gives an stocklike 0,5 bar (7.9 PSI @ 5600 RPM) Where does the difference in torque come from? Which one is accurate (or what am I doing wrong). |

Mods: JB4 BMS DCI VRSF D-Ps VRSF CP Gutted Secondary Cats Muffler Delete BMS BEF (Pump Gas) 93 oct 17psi Stock Intercooler Stock Turbos 98k This is a virtual dyno so I understand numbers are a little high. Still impressive though and shows that with just a few bolt ons these are 400hp cars no problem. The torque is even more impressive. Last edited by E9xjake; 10-02-2017 at 05:06 PM.. |
