The suggestion is non sensical as the jack was provided by BMW as standard kit in the E46, along with a spacesaver wheel.

I'm sure the kit from BMW is great, but £95.00 seems a bit much to pay when with the exception of the jack, most people have all the other bits provided with the kit already to hand.

I must get some crayons!
There is no doubt that the jack kit recommended by BMW for the E90 is of far superior design, strength and mechanical ability than the jack supposedly for the E46. You pays your money and takes your choice.
I know what I would sooner have in my boot, as I always like to think I have got the best - not second best.

Supposedly, what does that mean?

I've still got £75.00 in my bin, and got an OEM jack that is more than capable of the job, even if I spend a quid on crayons, I'm still up on the deal.

Have you got a BMW tattoo on your arse?

How can you possibly quibble over £75 when you have a super car like a 335d costing thousands?
I have a 320d which gives me the best in a balance of performance and running costs and in return I give it the best.
It deserves it without reservation! I drive my 320d everyday and it makes my day.
Yes! I suppose I have got BMW tattooed on my ar.... In fact one on each cheek!
Cheers!

Actually no.

Apologies to Penyfan, depending on model type the E90 is approx 70lbs heavier than the E46.

I've still got £75 though, so............

Cant see 70lbs making a difference to a jack, a full tank must weight 120 lbs

The E46 jack has a max weight of 2315lbs, so I think jacking up one side at a time regardless of it being front/back will not cause to many problems.

This looks good though, LED's, but, no CF!:

I do have it in mind but I will check it out at the end of the warranty as I don't want any probs in the event of a claim.
In the meantime I will just have to stay in the slipstream/exhaust fumes of the i & d's of the 325/330/335 and other exotica.

More fun though, and you may never use the jack (if you are lucky)
