So....on an e92 M3, should I do the CF roof or a moonroof? And does the e92 have the mounting bosses for the roof rack? Anyone know?

Yes it does, I was just checking them out on a carbon fiber Frozen Grey e93 M3 today. The mounting bosses are there.

Morning all.

On a coupe I think the roof depends on the color. Some cars looks hot with the CF room, some don't do it for me. In the end it comes down to your decision though. I love my moonroof, I don't know if I could give it up. Good luck.

Vroom, vrooom!

Good morning.

My vote on CF vs. Moonroof is the moonroof. Unless you're buying specifically to track/race where the weight/center of gravity difference would be an asset.

Thanks guys. I am leaning toward moonroof, but wanted to see if I was missing something. Not doing comp package, not going to be a race car.

I have a question to pose to our little sub forum here.

I'm strongly considering the M3, but I'm torn on the effects of altitude on its performance. I know I'll never test drive one in any way that will let me see the difference (I won't do that to a car that's not broken in, let alone not mine). So, for those of you who've driven an M3 back to back with a 335, or went from a 335 to M3, what are your thoughts? No regrets? Don't miss forced induction one bit?

You need to drive mine. I don't think you will have second thoughts after that.

I still like the torque of my 335...

I may not be able to keep up with Cody (or Jeff) from 60 to 100...but the fun part is getting to 60.

Id be happy with a ride! Say when and where. I've smoked a couple e46 m3's in my 335, and if I go 335 again, a proceed will be in order.

Not a fan of the X ///M for some reason. Not sure why. Now, XM, that's another story. I wish BMW would dump Sirius for XM. Besides, I don't need two X5's in the house. I'd never get to drive the X5m, as my wife would out jacking up our insurance with speeding tickets. She's been known to get 3 in 2 weeks!

I agree on the dumping Sirius for XM. My wife's Acura has Sirius XM it's a like a combo thingy, not sure how but it's nice.

You don't really miss out on that much low end from the 335 (300 vs. 295 ft.lbs.) and it still screams to 60 and even more than that.

Sirius bought out XM, so they get the same stations now anyway.
