N55 Oil Leak - What is this?

Hey folks,

In the process of doing my downpipe (Jesus Christ my hands are cut up... No idea how I'm going to get a socket on this v-band bolt) and noticed I've got a bit of an oil leak.

Oil appears to be coming from this plate. Is this an oil line to the block from the turbo? Is there a gasket that can be replaced?

That hard line is a coolant line. I would look at your oil drain and oil feed line for the turbo. If they are dry, then I would suspect a valve cover gasket leak. Oil is leaking down on the coolant line from above.

Had a look at that, but I'm right hand drive and there's a whole steering column etc in the way on the turbo side of the rack for me 😪
