I'm looking at purchasing a charge pipe for my 2011 BMW 335I Sedan N55. The only thing I purchased so far is Injen CAI. I'm not sure if there is a "best" charge pipe, because from looking around, I don't see any brand one sided or any complaints about any brand? I'm currently looking at CP-e, ETS, Evolution Racewerks, Active Autowerke, BMS, COBB, and VRSF. All inputs and feedbag greatly appreciated. Thanks.

The ER is a great one a lot of people use but vrsf is another one widely used. You can't go wrong with either one.

I know you won't Cobb OP, horrible fitment.

As far as the others mentioned they all do the job but the difference for most is the finish and some options like meth bungs.

got the black er with the 1 meth bung.looks good and fit perfectly

I found the ER pipe to be ok. The fitment was close but took a little wrestling to get it in. I picked up the Phoenix racing one from BMS to run dual meth bungs and did not like it. The meth bungs sat too far out of the pipe.

I know this may be a dumb question but what is the meth bung or bungs for? Do they all come with it? What is the purpose for it? Thanks.

They are threaded for meth/water injection nozzles, but they come plugged, for/if you decide you want to run meth injection in the future.

Do all of the come with access to meth injection? But are all plugged, unless you would want to unplug it? I will never run meth injection so its not needed for me, so Im not sure if that makes any difference? But thanks for letting me know!

Most chargepipes offer meth bungs that are pre-capped. The major advantage if you're not planning on running meth is the resale value when you're ready to put the car back to stock.

Ok so I have decide either between ER charge pipe or CP-e. Has anyone ever had CP-e because there is a local one for sale by my place for pretty cheap and I didn't hear any reviews about CP-e. I noticed CP-e makes BMS Charge pipe as well. Because I was originally leaning more towards ER after everyone's reviews, just found a local CP-e and was wondering what your inputs are? Thanks.

I have the $129 Phoenix from BMS. It required a lot of grinding to get to work.

The way chargepipes go, you pay for what you get. Ebay has some for just over a $100, and you see reviews of people grinding and more to make them fit. Also heard of the Meth slots, to be horribly sized so you have to work to make those the correct size and hope for no leaks.

ER aren't cheap at all, but also have the most perfect fit reviews around forums.

Just comes down to how much work do you want to put in to make it fit at the end of the day for the price.

Ya CP-e Chargepipe is $299 and the ER chargepipe is $247. Just there is a local one for sale, but from reading reviews and looking around everyone says ER. Spending an extra $50-100 I don't mind paying and getting the better chargepipe.

I have the CPE one, bought it from BMS. It's good, fitment is perfect. But if ER was cheaper I'd probably go for that because, well, it's a pipe and as long as it's made properly and fits you'll have the same result with both.

Not sure what you mean by best but VRSF and ER will fit you will never have tp worry about it again.

I just installed the Phoenix racing from BMS & found with my throttle body spacer it's really tight practically pinching my power steering hose. I'm skeptical & unsure if I want to continue running like this

From China 40 bucks shipped with a bung welded all aluminum, perfect fit.. been installed for 2 years. It's a pipe nothing to it. If ur spending more ur wasting money.

i have the Cobb. It is a huge pain to get to go on to the throttle body. It's overbuilt and seems bulletproof but not worth the wrestling to fit.

I would get one that is machined to go directly on to the throttle body and uses a gasket. Most cheap ebay stuff will use a silicone adapter....

I have the ETS charge pipe with 2 meth input that I plugged since I am not using it. Very solid product, fitment is easy and high quality couplers. ER is also a very good option and it uses the stock bolting point.

At the end of the day pretty much every option that you will choose will end up being miles better than the cheap plastic stock one. It's all about installation ease, additional options and preferences. All brands shape the pipe in almost the same way and with the same size so it's not like the airflow is affected. It remains a pipe that conducts high pressure air and it's main goal should be to resist and not collapse whilst leading the air to the throttle body.

Installed the VRSF w/tial over the weekend after my stock one blew apart at the TB connection. Build quality is good and it fit great. Honestly removing the stock diverter valve connections (specifically the one at the back toward the firewall) was the hardest part...and I have the n54 so I don't think you have that same tricky spot.
