I don't talk shit just for the hell of it. I talk shit when some little kid comes on here, acting like he knows everything after spending two days on the forum, and disrespects members who have spent years here. if you didn't act like such a little prick, people probably wouldn't be so harsh on you. and when you say, "I wanna know what I should change, but I'm not changing anything," you sound stupid. And I don't think anyone would have a problem saying this to your face

I suggest not doing a thing to the car now and waiting another 2-3 years of your life before you touch it. At 17 (or whatever age you are) the LAST thing on your mind should be modifying a car. Get into college, start saving money, plan for your future, and then if you have a few extra bucks throw it into your car. Become self sufficient > car modifications. Take this advice because I was the opposite and I'm just learning that now... (Well I was low 20s when I started modifying my car for a purpose, but you get the idea)

You will greatly benefit from reviewing the COTM archives for the e90 sedan. It really does not take a lot to get your car looking nice.
Here is an example of the same car in the same color but done well (yes a bit cookie cutter but that's because it looks clean). http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=227129 LTO's COTM 3/29/09 Now compare that to yours: Remove all stickers Paint the hood Get springs or coilovers Get new wheels (or a used set from the forums) Upgrade angel eyes Maybe splitters a nice detail (paint correction and 22ple/opticoat) Done. That's all you need bro. My post is #140, this will turn the prior 138 comments excluding your first to "sweet ride."

Scope some fly honeys and show em that neon inside. Pop the hood at a show and show off that smooth paint. This kids swag is to hard, YOLO!

It's bad when you can't tell the difference between trolls and real people making terrible decisions because there actually exists so many of the latter. It's a hard balance for me believing in personal expression of personality and also wanting the BMW community to stay true to its roots. We live in a world where everything is constantly changing.
Having said that, I really think the most recent waves of BMW owners (16-early 20s) have done something terrible to the sport. And it isn't just with BMWs, its with all kinds of cars but 3-series are becoming easier to acquire at a younger age. It annoys the shit outta me when I see nice cars being ruined and under appreciated. I hope these kids realize sooner than later that you can have a "sick" looking car without stupid mods. It's all about staying tasteful. You can be different without inducing vomit. OP, as a member of the younger crowd i beg you to reconsider your mods. I also suggest following the COTM example that someone posted. Only a few changes would go such a long way. In a few years you'll look back and wish you had listened. We share this advice because we were there at one point and realize the stupid mistakes we made or that our friends made and want to help you prevent making the same or wasting your money.

if you are on a budget make budget mods.
1) lower car, if you can't get coils, springs go on here used for $150 2) get you lower costing wheels, you can get used wheels (reps) pretty reasonable) 3) If you have a sponsor in order to keep your sponsor you need to follow their rules, if they say you need to put a banner on your front window to keep your sponsor discounts, well hell put it up. Try not to put stickers on the paint unless its a wrap 4) Consider fully or partially paint the hood. The fully exposed CF look on any other car but black or dark grey isn't to appealing IMO. There are nice ways of telling someone needs to reconsider their scheme. You have a good platform and a lot of good examples. If you don't want to be "cookie cutter" then don't. I'm riding on 20s and on air, and around here that is a broken law to some people. At the end of the day some people will love it, other will hate it. But no matter which someone is always use what they say to better yourself and your car. Happy modding!!!!
