i extracted with win-rar and burned on a dvd+r rw disc on lowest speed. you insert the disc and it says restart in 5 minutes. did that and it works from looking at it. would have to put in a destination to see if it truly works tom.
i kept my original cd in a cd case in my glovebox just in case this fails on me thanks to op for posting. are you sure its 07.2? |

mines didnt work...burn at low speed...etc, still didnt work
I think is the new software upgrade I got or the dealer must of did something. I had a burn 2005 dvd and it worked before the software upgrade, now none will work except for the original dvd.

Then I had onother question: my car navy ver is 2006.2 --> if I insert 2007.2 and it's not working - can I back to 2006.2?

insert in your car you'll get a message to restart in 5 minutes. do it and voila done. and yes if it doesn't work you can always put in your original navy disk and be on your way. |

This how Microsoft describe ISO file when you access MSDN library. IMHO you doing extra step by extracting all this files and then copy them to DVR media. Quote:

its all good. i know what an iso is and i too dled many things in iso form but not all of them worked when your burning directly from an iso image. so i just take the extra step to extract it and burn the files. never had a problem doing it this way so thats all i guess. only takes 10 seconds. i guess instead of burning it from one big iso image and having the chance of a mis burn burning extracted is much easier. i don't know the real technicalities but if it works it works haha PS: if you are ever stuck on an extension and don't know what program to use just check here http://filext.com/ |

Can someone please please help. I've tried making an extra copy of the 2007-1 dvd just incase, tried DVD+R and DVD-R, but neither of them work. Tried the DVD-R for the new 2007-2, but it does that restart system in 5 minutes, and it doesn't work afterward, and the car won't even read the DVD+R. I'll say it, I'm dvd inept, and I need explicit instructions. BTW, I usually use Nero.

Thanks, guys. 100% here. I can keep seeding for about another week or so. Only 38kB/s upload, tho.

Better than me, right now I'm only uploading at 6kb/s. I have no issues with leaving the computer on for the next couple weeks. People better get in on this now if they really want it.
