Hi,

today i'd like to talk about the PROcede - a pretty sensitive topic, especially when I start the discussion .

I talk about the most current version. What I read is somehow unbelievable for me. Users install Stage maps on cars which are not equipped for those maps, break connectors and even don't isolate power sources. They turn up UT settings beyond proposals and use poor gas.

IMO the PROcede has achieved to be a very good tune, it's former greatest advancement, user configuration capability turns more and more to one of it's greatest enemies.

So, please install maps according to your supporting mods and the default UT settings. Once everything works perfect you can increase slowly your settings for more power. Do this in small steps and test each step briefly. Once you will get codes, get back one step by applying the latest known, well working configuration.

The stock procede settings are good enough for me. I didnt touch user torque at all.

Instead of just relying on codes/limps, I think now with access to a BT cable or the new Rev 2. were able to see what exactly is going on. If we're getting dropouts in ignition or knock we can identify that and correct the problem with either ign correction or UT settings. The Procede has really proven to be a great tool.

All though I do agree with some of your statements the fact is that "the human element" is perhaps every products Friend not enemy. "User configuration capability" through trial and error just makes for a better product. Isn't this why we mod, tune and then mod again? It's through trial and error that all great things prevail.

Very true, however everybody should be aware about WHAT he/she is doing. Doesn't seem to be the case.

that will never be the case, too many morons in this world. If you dont understand everything about what you are playing with in the settings, dont touch them. However it seems to be the standard that people want more power without spending another penny so they try turning things up.......without even knowing what they are doing. Same thing happens with the JB3 all the time.

^ and then LIMP happens and everyone starts blaming the tuner. I think default settings are more then enough for most people. Unless you know what your doing and what your looking for you shouldn't raise any settings. Lowering settings on th eother hand won't have any bad effects.

nice to see you as well. my sister died the hard way. i have mentioned this in another thread. needed some time to recover, now it's all good again.
