Unhappy Another day. Another gun. Another school.

America continues with its love of the gun.

While I love my right to bear arms, my dream to move to Norway becomes more and more appealing every day.

As I said in the politics forum, it is just getting stupid. 14 victims, one fatality thus far apparently. And this shooter didn't have the decency to off himself either.

If only it was a gun free zone then the killer wouldn't have been allowed in

You're damn right we do. Remember what happened when your country tried to take them away from us 240+ years ago? We kicked you all back across the Atlantic so you could continue on with your overtaxing nanny state and leave us the hell alone.

Exactly. All of this untimely death due to liberal anti-gun bullshit laws.

If people didn't have access to guns in the first place, they wouldn't be able to kill other people, with these guns

Even the superintendent said it in his first interview....this country has a MENTAL HEALTH problem that everyone continues to ignore. Kids are loaded up with prescription drugs almost from birth and their mind is co-opted by media from adolescence on. It was so refreshing for that superintendent to bring up the REAL ISSUE instead of the straw man gun argument.

But you live in the U.K. do you not?

Regardless, all of Europe has massive terrorism issues. Let's not forget how just a couple years ago terrorists gunned down folks in Paris. Bad people will get a hold of whatever weapons they want to commit their heinous acts, regardless of how strict the laws are.

At the moment yes. I agree, Europe has terrorism problems worsened by liberal immigration laws

Somewhat difficult from the US gun problem. Although you've also had terrorist problems.

As somebody who works with patients all day, I can attest that America is a nation full of crazies (and irresponsible deadbeats).

These mass shootings used to not be a thing until very recently (~25ish years ago). Did the laws change or did our culture change? When we glorify violence, drug use, etc. in a nation with an already very individualistic and high-stress culture, this is what we get.

I will say, there are a ton of trigger happy people here who will pull out their guns on one another for no good reason. Doesn't matter if it's urban or rural America.

I stand by my notion that the root problem is the fact that we just have a ton of $hitty people in our country and a media/government that encourages irresponsible behaviors.

I disagree with your second statement. I don't see that shit at all around here.

I'd prefer if we had a knife problem instead of dozens of people being murdered every other month dude.
