Wipers

Where do you guys buy your wipers? I found the price pretty steep at my dealership (100$) for the pair. For my Audi, it only cost like 15$ a blade and they were Bosch too...... I can't seem to find anyplace online to get them...

Thanks

Go to www.pelicanparts.com they have them in stock for like $20. I've purchased many parts thru them for my 1990 750il.

pretty sure bmw only covers wipers now if you've had your car for a year+, and you havent replaced the wipers in the past year

they used to do wipers anytime you asked, but they cut back a lot of that to save money.

Not everyone has a BMW with less than 50K miles... Geez, just answer the OPs questions without being smartasses about it. You could say something like this, "Wipers are covered under the maintainance plan if you still are covered." However, if you are not covered you can get some at a reasonable price here XXX.

Some of you really do need to stop being dicks...

My car is still under warranty and my oil is under maintenance but I was told wipers aren't. I need to go pick up my car later on this week, I'll make sure to get a straight answer because this isn't right. I taught they were replaced under maintenance but when he told me no, I didn't ask further questions. Hope its not a US only thing...

Isn't it also possible that wipers are not covered in Canada as they are in the US?

Bavauto has them and I believe JLEVISW does also. if the dealer is not willing to change them for free and you are still under warranty, you can complain to the SA manager/ GM or go to another dealer. Depends on how far you are willing to take it. Good luck!

Wow...if your paying $55 in shipping for $45 worth of parts your shopping at the wrong place.

You can buy them elsewhere. I just bought 2 sets at Meijer. There where 3 different brands that fit (RainX, Dupont and a Meijer brand). All looked like the oem, you might have to remove a small plastic cover. I bought the Dupont ones for $15 each, however they had a buy one get one rebate. The meijer beam brand were ~$10.

Just becareful, the sugestted size book was wrong...said my 07 e90 328i took a 24 on the pasenger side...when it takes a 19.

I spoke to the dealership and they said thats only in US. In Canada, the only thing included in the maintenance plan is air filter, cabin filter and oil changes with the oil filter. Other than that, everything else is wear and tear.

Right now the car is going to get it's transmission replaced because of clutch chatter. Apparently, they say its coming from the transmission. It's ridiculous, they're going to put it back together and if they don't change my clutch, which they probably wont, it'll still make the noise. So stupid...

And wipers are 76$ + tax for a pair. Basically 85$ for two wipers...

Fucking Canada, it's ridiculous, we always get raped. Not only are the cars more expensive off the bat, but we also get less with it.

Can you not just get them at your local parts store?

Unless you're under maintenance still (and yes, wipers are covered) do this. Get the RainX contoured ones. If you have a Costco membership, they're like $10 there.
