Adaptive suspension- vdm coding???

hi all,

Straight to the point. My x3 f25( I know, i know not an e series but I remember younlot to be helpful )

I've just ordered a replacement sensor for the front left suspension of our f25, will it need coding to learn the new sensor is there? Or will it see the new sensor once I start driving?

Thanks in advance as always.
