So, I'm doing the transmission solenoids on my 07' E90 335i. It has 175,000 miles so, it's due.

Be sure to buy the foam, solenoid protection strips.

Pretty easy DIY really.

The Megatronic Sleeve is the hardest part. I don't know how one does that part with large hands

I found a trick to push the Megatronic Sleeve in place so you can click the lever on the valve body in place. You just use the butt end of a hammer, which has a rubber sleeve on it of course, and apply pressure (through leverage) to the sleeve while clicking the lever.

The actual electronic adapter that screws on the sleeve can be tricky too. You again use the butt end of a hammer to apply pressure on the adapter, while you pull down on the plastic tab. It will come down after a couple tugs with your fingers.

Best way to put the sleeve in is with a small piece of wood that will fit over top of the sleeve and pry on that. Will make it 10x easier and you dont chance messing up the sleeve

Why wood? Wouldn't the rubber sleeve of a hammer be softer? I think we have the same idea.

That might work too but if you use a small piece of wood it distributes the force to the whole part of the sleeve & not just one place. Makes it slide in easier and even

Look at it as search keyword so it shows up

Have any tips to remove that megaass fuel line connector to the lpfp? Gave up. Guess if it comes out easily for some it comes out.

I used a fat flathead to pry it off while pressing the tab. Twisting the screwdriver gave me all the leverage I needed.
