Was thinking of anthracite CSL 19" reps, a mat black grill would look good with them.

It's been a while, but with everything going on in the world I have some time to update my build thread. I've upgraded a few bits and pieces in the last year or so...

Set of MV4 alloy wheels
Spent a while deciding on what suits a Le Mans e90 LCI the best, decided on some MV4's in the end. It's quite hard to find a full set that haven’t been repaired these days, so had been keeping a regular eye on eBay. Ended up picking up a set without any damage and including tyres for £550. A bargain, especially as I as sold my old MV3's for £350.

Eibach lowering springs
With the larger wheels fitted the car sat up at the front. Decided on a set of Eibach Pro springs from German eBay for £128. They lowered the front by 20mm and rear stayed the same. Better comfort than the M Sport springs they replaced, no rubbing issues and a more sporty feel. Fine to run these with stock M Sport shocks, overall very pleased with them for a budget upgrade.

Wheel Spacers
Decided there was a little bit too much gap between the wheel and the outer arch so fitted some wheel spacers. Didn't need much otherwise would rub, so went with some 5mm and 10mm ones. Doesn't sounds like a massive amount, but I notice the difference looks wise (sure no one else would!).

Remap
Had the car remapped with Evolve. Very happy with the results, although as they were between moving premises I didn't have dyno’d. They stage 1 remap take it to 300bhp, which is enough on my standard manual clutch.

That's probably it for this car now, will probably be looking for something new at the end of the summer if the Coronavirus situation sorts its self out.

A few pics of last weekend after a bit of a clean, before everyone was told to stay at home:

A fine looking automobile! Love the colour.
I was only thinking earlier how I’ve owned my E92 330d very nearly 3 years now. As an all rounder it’s been the best car I’ve ever owned and I’ve owned a lot of cars over the years including fairly new stuff. Mines a bit of an old scruff really but mechanically it’s still good.

Cheers, yea spent around 6 months waiting for the right one to come up, a manual, le mans blue, 330D, LCI, no 'double hump' sat nav.

Best car've owned too

That’s interesting re. no sat nav. I didn’t spend long looking for mine, basically because I needed a car quickly after my last one got stolen.
I wanted a manual 330i with idrive. I ended up with the 330d because apart from being a d not an i the spec was very good. I’m not sure I’d prioritise idrive now, it’s very good but as long as the normal radio was Bluetooth I think that would probably be enough and I wouldn’t like to have an i now after the power of the d as well as fuel economy.
Luckily, I’m not fussy about colours as long as they’re not offensive. I do wish mine was a better blue than Monaco though. I’m going to get the polisher out this summer and see if I can make it look nicer.

Yea it's personal prefference I guess. I wasn't a fan of the 'double hump' dash with the sat nav so looked for cars without. Just use a Blutooth adapter plugged into the aux in the arm rest for streaming music.

This really does look good. I've had my 2011 320ed for coming up to 5 years now. It's in black(can't remember which one) but most of what I've done to it are audio upgrades and recently got rid of the base interior and put in the shadow blue Msport ones. Prior to to seats, I put in an Msport wheel, gear knob and handbrake gator and handle. Next will be the Msport headliner. There are a few on eBay, some pretty cheap and some not. After that I'm debating about the wheels.

Managed to get the Msport dark drey headliner, really feels so much better inside. I might replace the wood trim next.

I'm not keen on the aluminium one. The piano black one looks good.

Today I said goodbye to my trusty old E90 330D LCI and said hello to my 440i Gran Coupe, estoril blue, 2017.

Very excited!

Moving over to the F series forums, created a little build there for the new car HERE

Much better in most ways tbh, as you would expect from a car thats 6 years newer.

The only thing im not a massive fan of is the steering feeling. It was excelent in my old E90, the new 440i has electric power steering and feels a bit num.

The B58 engine in the 440i is excelent, really smooth with the auto, car is rapid!

when i jump from my f13 640d to my e90 330d,,the steering feels like it has no power steering,,,i like a heavier fele steering,, but the f13 makes you concentrate more as any little turn of it is exagereated with it;s ease of movement,,mine has been remapped by jason from bwchiptune,,no doubt you will want one also,,must have i think,,changes the car for the better, and the zf8 box is superb,,i now have 371 bhp and 817 nm and she is just awesome,,only the odd blast when needed

Thats some good figures from your remap there, especially the torque at 817nm (602ft-lb).

Already on the case with my new 440i GC, spoken to Evolve where I got my old 330D remapped. The B58 engine remaps really well to over 400bhp which will be fun.
