DCT to Manual Swap 335is

Anyone familiar with this process? How much would it cost?

I had a 335is 6 speed but totaled it… Currently in a 335is 7 speed dct but prefer the control of a manual.

Could be considering f8x tranny swaps if that could work, as they’re much stronger

Close friend recently picked up the pieces to convert his e91 (my old car) from AT to MT. We found a complete lot of the parts on eBay and he paid about $1500, shipping not included. This came with the tranny of course, pedals, some plumbing, drive shaft and rear diff. I think he got a great price. We have access to coding tools. Going to be a complete DIY job.

If we're successful, that would be the cheapest I have ever seen it.

Manual swapped E91 sounds amazing wow. You should definitely post the project on the forums.

Jealous you know how to code in the trans. My only worry is the efficacy of the parts, I hate second hand market but it is what it is…

If you're going DCT to manual the coding is basic. The manual transmission itself requires no coding. Be aware that the final drive ratio of the DCT is 2.56 and the manual is 3.08. Unless you change the diff too you're going to a substantially higher ratio and the car may be a little sluggish down low.
