Yes, it's the '06, so I just need the hood switch and wheel well siren.
Would definitely be interested if you had those. Bummed that I was so close to getting the pieces... those things are surprisingly rare at the wrecker. I could buy them off of ebay, but what's the fun of that!?!?!

Forgot to add this the other day. Picked up the headers and valve cover for the 330 in the 328

Why have two N52 powered E90 xi's? Couldn't tell ya. But it is so fun experiencing how vastly different the two are

Cut and soldered the leads of my front brake wear sensor together to delete the brake wear sensor now that I'm swapping pads back and forth for track duty.

Also installed E30 (et al.) front strut mounts to raise the front ride height 1/2" after the Pro Kit springs lowered it a little more than I wanted. The Pro Kit originally dropped my car 1.75" front and 0.75" rear vs. stock non-Sport springs (1 finger gap all around), and now it's back up to 1.25" front and 0.75" rear lower than non-Sport (2 finger gap front + 1 finger rear).

I like having some rake (e.g., measured at the rocker panel), but I also like the look of a slightly larger wheel gap up front, as BMW intended. Pretty happy now.

Curious if you can expand on what makes them vastly different. I love the N52.

Figured out how to code out adaptive headlights on the e92 and also make the light push of the turn signal stalk do more than 3 blinks, now set to 6. Next up I want to try getting rid of the seat belt chime and I’ll apply these except for the adaptive delete to the e91.

Also code the transmission back to a zb for the 328i as the one for the x3 is shifting kind of jerky and odd, just trying to make it work okay with the probably very worn seals in the valve body

Without making a full list, basically my 328 is bone stock while the 330 is heavily modified

same question. I have a bone stock e91 and a 335 FBO @ 19psi and despite the power band, they are very similar in daily drive, both 6mt.

Has anyone bought cheap jack pad lift supports? Part number is 51717123311.
I just wonder how does the rubber feel. I am contemplating replacing mine and see some very cheap options, but worried that it will just crumble at first sight.

Similar thing here; had both a 325i auto no-sport and 330i 6MT sport and they're very similar, but different exactly as expected. I got rid of the 325i and now have a 335i E93 auto sport suspension. I'm not blown away by the power of the 335, but I suspect much of that is because the E93 is 400lbs heavier. It's no slouch, but not exactly melting my face off. The difference in low end torque and where it comes on is most noticeable, and loads of fun. Though last week when a vacuum line split and I lost boost, I realized how powerful the N54 is when the turbos are working.

Once I get the basic maintenance sorted (plugs, coils, pulleys, belt, vacuum lines, OHFG/OC gasket, VCG) I may go aftermarket charge pipe, bigger intercooler, and MHD 1+, guessing that will wow me over the 330i.

I don't plan to get rid of either of these cars. Nothing new comes close to the power and ha dling and feel, not without spending way too much money.

I have a pair of Vaico ones that I used to replace some missing ones. They've been on a couple of years and are fine. I also use an adapter pad that slots up inside them anytime I use a floor jack so as to not lift from the "lip" of them.

After a weekend at Mid-Ohio with PCA, swapped back to street pads. Very happy with the Carbotech XP10’s. Washed the engine bay, wheels, and wheel wells. Last time I was at Mid-Ohio, 2 years ago, the car was an automatic!

Ordered a 3.23 diff off eBay and an MFactory LSD to rebuild and swap into the car. As much as I like the 3.73 gearing, the revs at highway speed are becoming more of a problem than they used to be.

Last weekend I did the oil pan gasket, and boy was that a PITA. Took the opportunity to throroughly clean and degrease everything I could. Oil pan is sparkling clean right now. Also did the accessory belt, tensioner and idler.

Ordered some EU spec “blue” BMW halo bulbs. Supposedly they’re a way to turn the LCI halos white.

Also parked next to a nice 340xi…

Thanks! I found some $4 ones and I'm hesitating fearing that they will be more rubber than plastic and will collapse when some shop puts the car up on the lift and will damage the side skirts.

I couldn't tell any difference between the cheapies and the old (original?) ones. I think around $4/each is what I paid... you may have the same ones! They are hard plastic and don't collapse or crack and fit in the slots just fine.

Why was it becoming a problem?

How loud / what is your exhaust setup?

I've been considering the swap to a 3.73 (and LSD), but my car is primarily a daily driver.

It’s just a bit much running 3600 rpm at 80 mph. Not really that bad, but the fuel economy suffers a bit. Would get an easy 28 mpg with the auto, now with the manual and the short gearing I have to work for 25. It adds up. Having lots of highway driving in my future, and doing so in a state with more costly gas than MO is not a pleasant thought...

Stock exhaust here, for now.

It’s great around town, the shorter gearing makes it a hoot. The N52 likes to rev, and it sounds nice when it does.

Let me know how this goes for you.. as far as I’m aware on the e90 with xenon’s no matter what year. Orange looks best as it’s the only one that reflects properly. Learnt this the hard way after spending like £150 on bulbs…
