The V3 will de-limit the 335, but there have been some rumblings on the Tuner page that the ECU will record any speeds above 155 MPH and post a hidden flag in the logs that indicate a mod, endangering your warranty.
Disclaimer: the haze of BS due to the ongoing V3 vs. JB thing makes it hard to figure out what it fact and what is making the room stink. Caveat Emptor

I have an 08 m sport coupe 335i
Full decat exhaust system, with remap, k&n panel filter, and delimiter. Goesoff clock easily, so last year at millbrook, we decided to test mine, and a few other cars for top speed. Long story short, my 335i pulled 182 flat out through the radar after three laps on the speed ring. Thats genuine speed, radars are calibrated by industry standards as we have to test cars for EU certification. If someone wants to lend me their standard 335i, we can test it n same track for topspeed. (sorry no non-employees are allowed to use facilities due to health and safety. |

This is absolute trash. 100bhp top speed 90? Kia sorento, 83bhp top speed tested byus RADAR 116mph 200bhp top speed 130? Standard toyota celica gt4 running 198 bhp £145 through the radar trap. I think you pulled these figures out of a dream you had. My company run the industries standardisation for EU figures and limitations, and im surprised even now how many people try to bullcrap their way through knowing what does what. Another poster has already stated weight has a big impact. A 150bhp ford focus 2.0 rs will nudge 130mph top speed. Yet a lotus elise mk 1 with 150 bhp mr2 engine will scream through to 155. Ill leave you all with those thoughts!! |
