I have a Wagner Evo 1 Performance intercooler currently on my E92. THIS FITS BOTH N54 and N55 E series. Im looking to upgrade to the Evo 2 Performance or Competition. I recently upgraded to a Pure Stage 2 turbo and want to get a little bit bigger IC. This intercooler uses factory couplers which makes it a super easy install and I've never had trouble with boost leaks. It has been smoke tested after install and holds boost fine. This IC sells for $690+shipping just about anywhere you find it.

I will also throw in new/unused coupler gaskets for both sides that I recommend replacing. (they're 2 different sizes) $469 OBO

The EVO I Performance Intercooler fits:

BMW 135i E82/E88 2008-2013
BMW 1erM E82 2011-2013
BMW 335(x)i E90/E91/E92/93 2006-2011
BMW Z4 35i E89 2009+
BMW Z4 35is E89 2010+

Since the FMIC will stay on my car until I sell it; here's a video showing the face of it through the front bumper. Average wear and tear on it. No big bents, cracks, dents etc., just a nicked fin or 2 from road debris. Pictures are in a later post further down the page

Did you notice marginal decreases with the 5" wagner..? I read a thread on N54tech about 5" vs 7" and just figured I'd ask since I'm shopping FMIC's and live in hot ass sw fla..

Thanks!

I was actually quite pleased with this FMIC over the OEM. My IATs are only about 10-15 degrees over ambient temperature and would raise about 25 degrees at the end of a multiple gear pull without meth. It does quite well for even a FBO car. 5 inch stepped cores have an advantage too with as not only are they thicker/wider, but also has a bigger "face." It really outperforms the OEM unit significantly. The 5 inch and 5 inch stepped designs are typically plenty for street use. The 7 inch is going to be if you frequent the track or do multiple gear pulls back to back to back. Keep in mind bigger isn't always better. You must take into account the pressure drop that a big intercooler is going to cause (most likely) over a smaller core. This Wagner Evo1 is convenient as it easily put on and taken off. Absolutely no cutting, plugs right into the factory connections and instantly results in lower IATs and less heat soak. No matter what FMIC you're running, Your IATs are going to be at least 10 to 20 degrees over your ambient temps. I'd recommend Meth for additional cooling to be honest in the FL heat.

Do some research on Wagner intercoolers. They are exceptionally well engineered. The size of the IC isn't the biggest factor in determining its efficiency.

Yeah I've only heard about them and that they're good quality, never looked into the physics of them or anything like that..

Thanks for the input, gonna go read up a bit..
