But the only way you're going to get even spray across all cylinders is direct port.
There is no perfect solution as even direct port has it's flaws and potential drawbacks but accepting a single nozzles 3 inches from the TB is not ideal (in this platform). This topic has been beaten to death. Look at the guys running big power and methanol injection and they run more then 2 nozzles and they run them either in the intercooler or as close to it as possible.

Look at the guys with failed motors on methanol injection and their response on why, meth distribution.

Accepting the fact that there is a flaw in the intake manifold and therefore utilizing a sub par solution even further is the last thing I would recommend someone. I agree with almost all your posts but this one I had to chime in on because I know too many people locally/personally that have taken methanol injection lightly and it was at a large cost to them.

There is the ideal way and then there is everything else.

I see where you are coming from, and I can’t disagree. I suppose my point was that on this platform, the only way you are going to get even distribution is via port injection. Anything short of that will be marginal in terms of how well it atomizes. But I didn’t mean to suggest that we just throw in the towel and spray blindly via the chargepipe, agree 100% it’s important to be smart with methanol. From what I’ve seen people get in trouble when they do the following

1. Use pump gas as their base fuel
2. Tune aggressively with meth as their only means of octane
3. Use cheaper meth kits that may or may not provide a good spray pattern

So if you tune for meth solely as an IAT tool, your risks fall a great deal. But now I’m getting side tracked. I hear what you’re saying though

Thanks for clearing that up and I agree.

Might I add though a "cheap meth kit" can be good with proper upgrades. (SS lines, upgraded fittings, twin nozzles, proper fail safe).

the biggest problem I see with meth bungs is that they are too deep. Especially for shallow nozzles like devils own. Insert a nozzle in just about any cp bung and watch how the water starts dripping from hitting the wall of the bung. Now picture fast perpendicular air moving across it. Most of the time those bungs are only good for sticking a pressure switch in. You guys are better off drilling and taping the nozzles your self or finding low profile bungs. Look at aquamist, they have there own base to be tapped in .060-.090" thick walls.

BTW: Soon there will be another direct port car out there, but this time with a big turbo.

That's a good point and one not brought up often.

As promised heres the pic. This is an old one and some things have changed but you can get the idea. The only thing that changed with the CP is it now sits lower.

You weren't suppose to see that. Something I'm still testing.

Well all the nice things I think and say about VRSF aside... this thing didn't come with any vacuum line or the clamps to tighten down the intake caps! What are you guys using and where's the quickest place to pick the pieces up so I can put this thing on already?? Would a good zip tie work?

The Tial BOV actually comes with the vaccuum line but you should have definitely received the two small clamps to tighten the caps. Just shoot us an e-mail with your order number & I'll make sure they go out tomorrow via express service
