hwy6 in the huffmeister area seems pretty clear (I know that is close to jackrabbit.

spring cypress and 249 to the beltway is clear

if 290 is clear to get to you then they could take this route since I did it the other day..

hw6 south turn right on longenbaugh then turn right on queenston
and then turn right on Barker Cypress. that will get you to 290 without any water. I think the on ramp for barker cypress is still under water they will probably need to go west and do a U-turn to get on.

most of the roads in cypress are pretty dry now so if there is any water in the area a different route should be easy to fine.

Thank you, stoner. We made the trip up yesterday morning. I just exited at hwy 6 and came over to jack rabbit. All worked out just fine. Two more at my home now. First 2 got power back on in Pearland so might take them back. No rush.

Stoner, I'm confused.

Yes to Dan. Its time to do another meet. Perhaps let's let it cool off a little. How does early October sound? Not sure of your reserves schedule. I will be going to LA for extended time in mid October on into early to mid November. Not that me coming is important. Just letting you know of work plans.

Agree.. let's wait until Oct-Nov time frame.

How's Saturday Oct 6th sound? That day is the Memorial City C&C meet, we can all meet there but it will be a disaster trying to park together or if preferred by others we can keep it BMW Diesel only and chose a different spot.

Usually we meet around 7 AM until around 10-11ish and go grab lunch.

If we get enough interest we can plan on doing multiple activities on that day to make it worth it for people coming out of town.

Ideas that came to mind:

- Visit local track
- Small maintenance DIY (done this before.. awesome and super helpful)
- Professional photo shoot
- Some sort of non-car related activity such as Top Golf, Beer Garden, Baseball game, etc..

You can count me as 1 vehicle unless i can lineup a driver for the X5. I asked the better half about coming and she didn't seem too enthused. Her Saturday's are sort of precious on a counseling front for local women's shelter. Don't think this merits her missing out on benefiting those people.
