Off the line bog?

What would cause a hesitation to launch from a stop?

Member RL18 told me in a PM it could be an issue with vacuum system...

I'd thought I'd bring it out here to help anyone else with same issue.

Any advice of what I could dig into would be appreciated. I'm new turbos and diesels....

Stock, deleted? trans tune? Tires? Launch control? With literally no information about what you're running I'd guess driver error.

Sorry, totally stock car. Street tires, traction control on or off. From stop, foot to floor, hesitation. Almost feels like when you punch a 4bbl carbureted engine, that's not dialed in, and there's just this big lag...and then it takes off, but not quite when you had hoped.

I'm not power braking it or anything like that, just from idle and punching it. Does not happen really from a rolling 10mph start

After a bunch of reading I think you're right.
Seems it's a normal function of computer controlled everything. Saw some methods of launching from MD 2nd gear. Worked well. Reason I cared, was I'm planning to take it to the 1/4 mile in the spring and have a little fun with it.

Gotta wind the turbo(s) up! No power available until they're up to speed.
