E70 x5 delete quick question

Hey, guys, I have searched but canít really find an answer to that one. I have a 2012 x5 with 95k and SCR cat got completely clogged up so I decided to just do a full delete, what I canít find is do NOx sensors get reused or they just stay plugged in and hidden? I read that O2 sensor does get reused but do we have both O2 and NOx sensors? I see that DPF down pipe comes with 2-3 bungs are they for O2?

Also do people go with catless pipe or catted? I had an FBO 335 before and have a deleted 550, but never dealt with catless diesel. Thank you for your input!!

I think a picture shows best. The sensors circled in red are put into new downpipe. The sensors circled in blue are unplugged and discarded or sold. The differential pressure lines are also cut since you won't need them anymore.

If you're use to diesel smell then you won't be bothered with a catless dp. If you don't like the smell, it can get to you then a dp with a doc will be a better option. I have a catless dp and you only smell it at a stoplight and when your sitting. Driving you don't notice it.

Most X5 delete kits come with the down pipe and the SCR delete pipe. This would save a lot of messing around with the SCR filter

The catted downpipe is a bust, doesn't work when cold and doesn't work super well when warm. (There are several versions and some may be better than others.) If you are worried about smell keep the DPF and tune out the SCR catalyst (which is the real ticking time bomb) with a JR tune. I have two 335d's -- one full delete and one that keeps the DPF and SCR cat intact. Keeping the DPF and SCR cat is much easier, cheaper, and less smelly but you do give up some power and 1-2 MPG.

There are other known X5 downpipe SS. One important thing I see missing is a block off plate where low press EGR connects to the bigger low press turbo. Most pipe kits come with this. Otherwise, you will need to fab your own. Not a big deal for me but wanted you to know of the coming curve ball. In above, I presume all EGR stuff would be getting deleted too. Check out ATM X5 downpipe and good luck.
