Thanks, if the results show it's better than the Eldor Coils than would be worth it in my opinion.

Maybe reach out to Bahn to get him a sample to test in the same method as he's tested the rest of the coils?

I'm sure he can source his own coil for testing using his custom rig / method if he so chooses. We will be testing like we have done with the other coils thus far, and like MSD has been doing for decades, so our own data points all align.

Just ordered a full set of Delphi’s
Curious to see how this compares. The colors are cool.

Also in for the results here, if they are better than my Eldors that half the world on N54 runs nowadays then it might be worth the upgrade for those that are already pushing the limits of the eldor coils for cheap. Dinan_Engineering definitely keep us posted when you have the results as compared to the Eldor.

I presume these fall under the standard 2 year unlimited mileage warranty that is standard for other Dinan products?

Will keep the thread updated and update the product page with updated charts once I have the info. Ordered the stock coils yesterday. Hopefully get them in soon and then up to MSD for comparative testing to add to the others.

As far as warranty -- Given its a maintenance part the coils carry a limited 1 year warranty.

Havent done promo codes in over 5 years. Generally speaking the only factory discounting we do anymore is the annual holiday sale from Black Friday to Xmas. You can inquire with a local dealer and see if they are running any specials but that would be your only real avenue. That said -- they are still the cheapest option on the market (last I checked at least).

Negative. Maintenance parts (even if they do offer advantages over stock) do not qualify. Would be akin to offering badge points to a K&N drop in filter. I know a number of people have taken issue with this for various reasons but that is the route that was decided upon so it is what it is.

Priced well and the color options are cool. Hopefully they meet or exceed the Eldors.

I went ahead and ordered the Dinan coils in the color red. I currently have PR relocated coils and have always thought about switching over the Eldors just to keep things more simple or at least put the Eldors to a test with high hp. Anyways we'll be putting these Dinan plugs to a test with 650whp and fresh NGK 2 step colder plugs. I'm still going to hang onto my PR coils just in case these Dinan and/or Eldors start causing misfires.

Aren't the PR's supposed to have a lot more output compared to the OEM Eldors? Eldors seems to work well...but I thought the PR's we're the best you could get as far as output...or is that not the case?

Yes, but as said before I just want to try simple coils and see how they hold up with a lot of power. The PR are great, but they take up space and are pretty bulky. I will more than likely end up with the B58 conversion kit: https://nexsysmotorsport.com/n54-ign...roduct-reviews

I got the coil plugs in. Installed fresh set of NGK 2-step plugs. The quality looks outstanding as expected from Dinan. As mentioned before I'm testing these compared to the PR coils. I'm running 28-29 psi with 10* of timing....over 600+ whp so well see how they hold up. Worse case scenario ill be passing these down to my friends basic bolt-on N54 and back to the PR coils.

Mine cover has been cut for PR coils so that might be why the coils are exposed more.

Yours is cut on the other side for the PR coils though. I just got done ceramic coating mine last night, sitting in my living room now and on the OEM side they are all the same and exposed. I never looked close enough on the oem side all the pics I saw were upgraded kits but looking through again you can see them with like the r8 coils or anything else, that side has the same lines.

I'd expect that they would perform pretty closely to the PR coils but your build is a bit more extreme then anything we tested on so let us know how it goes once you have had a chance to really put everything through its paces.

Post pics when you get them. I was debating over the red or blue.

Have you guys actually tested it against the PR coils? They do put out a strong spark.

Did not. We just tested against OE coils as that was the desired market. Not interested in doing $400+ ignition coil kits at present.
