Help me make this mod for the trunk

If the vw scene can make their gti hatches pop open, then we can make our trunk lids pop open! Heres a vid and walkthrough. Now lets figure out how to do it on our e9xs. Thoughts?

having stronger springs will probably do it for ours. from what i read on the forum link you posted, they had to make their's "pop" out before opening up. ours does that already.

Yep, so all we need is a stronger spring maybe?

It's rather simple. Just need to find struts that have more pressure and the same / similar dimensions as our trunk struts (if we have struts). If we do not we can do it by adding them and pop-rivetting them into place.

oh cool. Maybe cp-e should make a pop open trunk kit! And I still have to stop by that shop and chat about my custom air snorkel/intake/cold air extension/heat shield project that im making!

Does it look like our trunks are harder to work with then the gti?
