Cruise control retrofit?
hi i have a e90 325I of 2005 european but this car comes without cruise controle. I heard from lots of poeple that it is not possible to retrofit cruise controle for the 6 cylinders cars. It is only possible for the 4 cylinders cars so i think i ask around here. I have bought by ebay the Steering Column Switch Cluster.
The difference between a 4 cylinder cruise is that the cruise for a 4 cylinder is cc and for a 6 cylinder is dcc. did any of you already tried to swap the steering columm switch cluster and than reprogame it? |

The reason it cannot be added is because the cruise control in the 6 cylinder is dynamic cruise control, which is more involved in adding to a car that is already done.
Come to think of it, it probably could be added, but it would cost big money to do it.

okay but what parts with part numbers do you need to retrofit cruise control for the 6cylinders? Because it is a littlebit strange that for the 4 cylinders that is possible why not program the 6 cylinder like a 4 cylinder cruise? i don't need the break function.
