Halt from a stop to gas.
When I release the brake from a dead stop and press the gas, I feel that the wheels or transmission is stuck and has a bit of a hesitation before it goes.
Trying to explain the feel... It feels like the brake aren't released and the gas will make it go with a little hiccup. Or the transmission is going into gear hard. It doesn't go off smooth from a dead stop and does not happen often but enough to say it's not right. Any suggestions? I'm at 58k. possibly a transmission fluid change in need? I just had my front brake and rotors changed. |

nope no hill, well maybe sometimes a little incline, but also happens at level. It does also happen when I brake to a stop at quicker speeds than slowly braking to a smooth stop. :shrugs:

Drive-off assistant The drive-off assistant enables you to drive off smoothly on uphill gradients. It is not necessary to use the parking brake for this. 1. Hold the car in place by depressing the brake. 2. Release the brake and drive off without delay. The drive-off assistant holds the car in place for approx. 2 seconds after the brake is released. Depending on vehicle load, the car may roll backwards a little during this time span. Drive off without delay after releasing the brake. Otherwise, the drive-off assistant will no longer hold the car in place after approx. 2 seconds and the car will start to roll backwards You notice it does not rule out the "assistant" operating on level ground. I don't notice it on my MT cars as I release the brake on level ground a few seconds before the light changes. Tom |

OP - do you have the manual or automatic? Should help everyone here troubleshoot a bit better.

These things are brutal from a stop with A/T. Always a hesitation then BANG , throttle opens . Hard to modulate and really annoying.
