... my thoughts on protecting the paint? ... what about clear plasti-dip? i am not sure what the clear plasti dip looks like when sprayed over normal paint, not sure it the plasti-dip is visable or not? but def would be a decent idea for this. I just order some blacklines, MTEC angel eyes and these splitters are next on my mod list

Not sure about plasti dip clearcoat straight onto paint. I wasn't able to find any forum threads with anyone trying that. I'm almost certain that coming straight from the can, it will not be an even spray. Most ppl use the plasti dip clearcoat on plasti dip components. Wrapping the clear bra isn't too bad, especially if you able to wrap it when the splitters are not installed on the car yet...more accessibility from all angles. |

My idea of paint protection is a little more crude: black duct tape. It's on the underside of the splitter, no one will ever see it, and if it starts to peel, it's an easy replacement. :-)
Nice pictures!

Just got my pair from eMotors today and the quality and paint job look great. Platinum bronze paint looks spot on. We have a couple more months of bad weather (and snow) here in Toronto so I'm thinking of waiting until the spring before installing them. Best $109 I've spent in a long time!

Just got a quote from a local shop to clear wrap the splitters. $250....ouch!! I could just order two more pairs of splitters for that price. So I've just ordered some clear vinyl wrap from eBay and will give it a DIY wrap just in time for the springtime install. Always a first time for everything!

Clear wrap DIY was a fail so had to take it right off. But with the weather getting better in the true north I couldn't wait any longer to install the splitters and finally put them on today. Pretty good paint/fit for only a hundred dollar mod...I like them!

When you install, did you simply use the double sided tape or did you also use the screws at the bottom of the bumper? |

Since putting on the splitters I've caught the bug and upgraded the angel eye bulbs, picked up VMR V710s with Michelin PSS, OEM blacklines, and even ordered the M3 rep spoiler from emotors that's being shipped. Here's where we're at after a few weeks. Post your pics after your install....I'm sure you'll find it a piece of cake! |

Did you put a clear wrap/bar on your splitters? I'm receiving mine in the mail on Friday and wondering if it even matters.
