That doesn't matter. The USD will still be converted to Euro when BMW bring the cash back to the fatherland.
And? You think they pay their employees and overhead in America in Euros? Not all of the revenue goes back to Europe.

The amount they DO send back is exchanged at the interbank rate anyways so it really makes no difference if it's sold in Euros or USD

What a troll. And here I thought Kiwis were half intelligent. I guess the corvette and Z28 can't handle. It seems hobbits can't recall simple facts.

But the Euro prices of every single thing so not only cars are flying to the sky !
Seems that everything is made from gold over here and the system strangles itself !
Don't complain in the US, saw the US price adjustment it means almost nothing , because Euro car prices are 40-45 % higher and on top of this we have rediculous yearly driver taxes .
Where will it end...
That's because of your socialist governments. Our President is working hard at turning the U.S. Into a Socialist nation. Hopefully the republican house and senate can hold him off on completing his mission.

Redsoxx - that's nonsense.

It's not nonsense at all. Look around. Socialism doesn't work. It raises the cost of everything.

Here - to put it simply. Younger buyers with buying power are cross shopping more than ever, or living in cities and using alternate forms of transportation or having less total number of household cars.

Prices go up every year, like all else.

"Bayerische Motoren Werke AG fell 2.3 percent. A dealer’s group said the German carmaker agreed to pay 5.1 billion yuan ($820 million) to its distributors in China to help cover their losses after the retailers stopped ordering cars from the manufacturer."

and thats why we just saw a price increase... even people in China are beginning to abandon bmw.

If the USD is at a high against the Euro, that means the relative strength of the US market is higher than Euro nations. It makes perfect sense to raise prices in the US market, especially since the Euro is flailing and the US is the only place gaining market ground.

Bravo on the terrible explanation. Its simply price creep/inflation. It really has nothing to do with currency and they just hiked the prices on other models prior to the weakening of the euro vs the usd. My statement was more a point of irony than anything.

For example in Sept 2013 there was a broad increase in prices when the euro was at a 2 year high vs. the usd.

The options are cheaper for other cars because they are not as good. I just drove a 2014 Corolla for a rental. The Corolla is a nice car, but it helps justify the expense if my BMW.

Destination and handling. Is it included?

This price hike announcement has the following sentence:
"The Destination and Handling fee for all models is $950 and is included in the following list for current and new prices."

Does this "is included" mean that the new 1/5/2015 base price of xDrive28i already has d&h price built-in it?

Regards,
Alecb2014
