Up for sale is my 2007 BMW 335 Coupe. I am the original owner (technically speaking my company is). I special ordered the car fully loaded sans active cruise-control, but with a 6-speed, which is a rare combination. The car was my spring through fall daily driver until spring 2013 when I purchased an E39 M5 for two more doors to accommodate my then newly born son. I also purchased a new home last summer, I’ve been busy between work and home renovations, another baby, other cars (of course), and wasn’t sure what to do with the car…so I’m just now getting around to selling it.

I didn’t drive the car during the winter until I was forced to for one winter after I sold my winter-beater Tahoe. That was winter 2012-2013. I purchased Nokian WRG3 snow tires for the stock 18” wheels, which will go along with the car. It was a mild winter with very little snow, so it did not see much inclement weather at all. The 19” Continental DW’s that are on the car are worn out and should be replaced–definitely the rears anyway–but I thought I’d let the purchaser buy whatever tire he/she prefers. I highly recommend Michelin Pilot Super Sports.

I never had any major problems with the car except carbon buildup in the intake valves, which is par for the course and has been repaired by taking the heads off and walnut blasting them. The vehicle has always been serviced by the same tech at BMW of Dayton. I don’t trust the crazy factory oil change intervals, so every 5-7k miles I changed the oil using German Castrol 0w-30. The waste gates rattle as is typical for these cars and although the car drives fine, the turbos should be replaced soon because the waste gates are binding up occasionally and throwing the car into limp mode. This car is a perfect platform for upgrading the turbos, so I thought I’d leave that option open for the purchaser instead of replacing them with OEM turbos now.

All service records are available, including the recent walnut blasting of the cylinder heads to clear the carbon buildup (see photos). The car has barely been driven at all since this was performed (<300mi), and I also added a very nice aluminum catch can (JB) with a mesh condensation insert to help slow or eliminate the problem. I also had all of the rubber vacuum lines replaced after we found that a couple of them had started deteriorating. New brake rotors were installed within the last couple hundred miles.

The car was in a very minor, very low speed accident where I love tapped a guy in front of me in gridlocked stop/go traffic. His car was new and he was upset, so he insisted on calling the police etc. The insurance adjuster called me a couple weeks later and said that they didn’t do any repairs to his car at all. However, it cracked the paint on my front bumper, so I had it repainted. There is absolutely no structural damage to the car whatsoever. To clarify again, this was no different than being bumped by someone while parked, it was not an “accident.” I’m OCD about the condition of my cars, and have kept it in excellent condition. The rubberized trim on the steering wheel and door handle has started flaking, which drives me nuts, but I haven’t been driving the car or gotten around to replacing this. I’ll leave that to the purchaser who may want to buy some nice carbon trim etc.

I have quite a few modifications to the car, which are listed in the link below, please review this while considering the asking price. I tried to take a balanced approach to the mods and didn’t do anything the cheap way, because it was my daily driver and it needed to be reliable. For instance, instead of doing just a Procede tune, I added a larger Active Autowerkes FMIC to deal with higher charge temperatures. I spent a great deal of time tuning the suspension with TC Kline D/A coilovers–400lb front and 500lb rear springs (if I remember correctly). I also added some aluminum suspension components from the M3 and a Quaife LSD. This car handles VERY well.

Instead of parting the car out, I would like to find another enthusiast who values and understands the modifications, and is willing to pay a small premium over the car’s book value, saving themselves a lot of time and money. ALL of the stock parts come with the car as well, in addition to some other parts (exhaust systems) that I fooled around with but did not like. I want it all gone.

I am asking $16,000. Please see mods and pricing details below for more info. The car is located in Dayton, OH. You can reach me via bullmrkt dot ian at gmail.

Sorry about the crummy photos in front of my office and that dump next door...I haven't had any time to get decent ones and wanted to get this listing up. I'll try to get some better ones up soon. Thanks.

I have seen and driven this car and will vouch for its condition. This car is also crazy fast! The list of well thought out mods is crazy! I actually considered buying this car but really needed 4 doors. He does need to post more pictures, especially of the interior and engine. GLWS!

I just added a bunch of photos and some additional detail to my description. Its a bright sunny day here in Ohio, so the lighting conditions were tricky.

My cars were also serviced by the same reputable tech at BMW of Dayton.

Owner takes immaculate care of all his cars with no expense spared which can be seen with the choice of mods and taste in cars.

I came across the photos I took the day of my "accident," and as I'm sure many are concerned about the reported incident, I thought it would be a good idea to post them.

First, the other guys Acura. No damage. In the photo of my car, you can see a small crack in the paint below the right kidney grill (your left). This was the extent of the damage to my car, which I repaired by repainting the bumper cover.

Bump. Reviving this thread because I'd really like to sell this car now! It's been in storage for the past year and driven maybe 50 miles. The oil was changed this summer as well.

Any chance you'd sell without the wheels?

Possibly, but I'm going to try to sell them on the car first for the sake of simplicity and they make the car more appealing. I could swap them out for the stock 18's which currently have Nokian snows on them. Are you not a fan of the wheels? They're great wheels and I get compliments constantly. If I removed them I wouldn't be able to lower the price very much because I've found in the past that wheels aren't worth much used. They were about $6k new though! I actually live down the street from Forgeline in Dayton, OH. Here are more details:
