wow.... never thought I would hear this from you!!
I drove one. Not impressed, starts under steering to early...perhaps a result of the weight balance. Fit and finish are nice though, its great if you are the corporate type just looking for image, but its no sports car when the road gets curvy...keep the Porsche. if you are really interested Rockville Audi has a 2009. 2009 S5 4.2 Coupe Auto Quattro Ice Silver Black Bang & Olufsen Sound Ipod DVD Navigation Technology Package $59,440 Henry Smith Internet Sales Manager Rockville Audi 301-471-9583

its nice to look at and the interior is better than any BMW, but it just doesnt handle very well.
something a woman would buy IMO (all looks, doesnt care about anything else)

I saw not one, but two on the road the other day, one shortly after the other. Now, I realize Volkswagen Group of America (or whatever) is now HQ-ed here in Northern VA, but I don't think these were company cars. I think it was just coincidence that the first time I saw one on the road, I saw two on the same day. One was silver, one was black.
I must say, they were HOT cars. A lot of presence. From the rear, nearly Aston-Martin good looks, IMO.

He's just talking about the B8 S4 due out this year. As for the new GLK, for some reason I love that thing

I think he meant wait for the supercharged S4 coming up instead of the heavy pig V8 S5.

I think they are one of the most beautiful cars on the road.
I have to disagree about the interior though. I think it's very un-Audi-like. The plastic trim looks cheap. The interior of the doors in the 3 series coupe is WAY higher grade and lined with that nice felt. The Audi's map pockets like like crap. The center console is cluttered with buttons (maybe I am just used to the clean lines that i-drive gives). And did I mention that the plastic trim looks cheap? The sound of the engine is really nice though. and the outside is beautiful to look at. When I test drove one, it was raining and it held the road like a champ.

The S5 always catches my eyes when I drive by one. I think it's sheetmetal is beautifully designed. And the interior design (not withstanding the quality of the pieces) is top notch.

yup, very nice to look at, but I drove one was not impressed at all. My 335 w/ just tune smoked one, now it would be a joke. It did feel very heavy and handled poorly IMO.
It depends on what you are looking for....style or performance. If you want both you normally have to dish out some $$ as you well know.
