400m Wheels on e90 - Tyre & Spacing Query

Hi guys,

I'm hoping you can help. I've recently put a set of staggered 400m alloys on my 2010 e90 M Sport (specs below). Love them, but not a fan of the Pirelli RFT's so going to put some non-RFT's on.

Front
225/45/18 et34

Rear
255/40/18 et47 + 15mm spacers

My question is, what tyres can I go for, without rubbing, and getting flush out the the wheel arches? I'm looking at going wider on both the front and back e.g. 235/40/18 and 265/35/18? FYI I'm running stock sport suspension too.

I've attached a pic of what she looks like at the moment, in my opinion the back wheels still look a little tucked in. Any advice appreciated

Sorry meant to add that I believe the front wheels are 8” wide and the tears are 8.5”

you can probably add a 10mm spacer on the rear, or maybe 12mm

I’ve got 15mm on the back at the moment but still looks a little tucked in. Just need to get my head around max tyre sizes - struggling with that part

Sorry to bring up an old thread, but wondering what you got in the end?

400M's come with 45 and 40 profile, but the E9X platform is 40 and 35, are these wheels designed to run the lower profile or would they crack?

Wouldnt mind 45 and 40 actually as it would be more meat, but then the speedo would be incorrect!
