Yet another PBX post :)

I just did my install this afternoon. It took me about 1.5 hours, but I was moving very slowly and had a bit of an issue getting the large ECU component back in. I was on the fence about doing the install myself since I have never really been a car guy, but it was pretty straight forward. I would recommend doing it to anyone else that has been on the fence due to the install complexity. I won't really be sure how great it is for a few days, but after taking it out today, I can already feel a nice difference in the responsiveness.

yes the large subconnector was an issue for me as well, but got over it by lifting the dme tray up a little and pushing some of the other wires away.

Hum I have installed Proceed V2 Cambus PNP version in and out of a E92 for like 5 times, and yeah the large subconnector was a pain to seat back in at first. But I think you will get a hand on it after a while.

Once I have the money for PBX, I will jump on it. I can't wait.

Yeah after about 15 minutes I came back inside and watched the video online and the video specifically says to pull up the entire tray to help seat it. I walked back outside and had it in on the first try. They should really add that to the pdf instructions. Either way, it wasn't bad at all even for a novice.

Thats a good idea.. I will have that added to the instructions as its a great little trick to help seat the connector

Glad you install went well and you're enjoying the tune!

Just wanted to give another thumbs up to both Terry and Mike. I had an issue on Sunday (it was my mistake during the install), but both Mike and Terry responded to emails and even offered to have me send them a picture of my ECU to see what was wrong. Definitely not the kind of service that I would expect on a Sunday. You guys rock. Thanks again and the PBX is awesome.

I'm guessing that most people are on their warranty still. If you put it to map 0 its invisible to the dealers so they won't know. metalhead went to the dealer already with it and they didn't notice it so you shouldn't have a problem if it is installed correctly.

I plan to just take mine out before bringing it into the dealer. I can probably do the entire install/removal in about 20-30 minutes now as I have played with it quite a bit since I got it. That works fine for me since it rarely goes in.
