switching to 193m wheels?

Hi guys, so I have a e90 328i with the m sport package which comes with 17’s 194m wheels. I recently found a really good deal on the oem 193m’s spider spoke wheels and wanted to switch the 17s I have right now for those 18’s, does anyone know if I can fit those 193s with no problem with OEM size tires and without making changes to the ride height? I’m thinking it should be no problem since these 2 wheels are oem options for the m sport e90s.

Current ones I have (194m):
Front: 17 x 8.0 wheels and 225/45 tires
Rear: 17 x 8.5 wheels and 255/40 tires

193m:
Front: 18 x 8.0 wheels and 225/40 tires
Rear: 18 x 8.5 wheels and 255/35 tires

I did this exact switch with my e91. You’ll have no problems with fit. TPMS may be an issue, though. I had to get new ones.

the wheel alone you'll be fine.
Tire keep the oem size for the speedo, compare the overall diameter with this calculator : https://tiresize.com/calculator/

Lucky you, I'm looking for 193 since a while now !
Ill go for 1 size up over OEM, so a bit more meat and height for comfort.

Congrats, man. Car will look GREAT with the wheels style 193m. Check my previous thread if you need new TPMS sensors.

My E90 328xi w/ M-Sport came with style 193s from the factory. No suspension changes needed. As you noted, the 193s are a staggered setup, so you need different tire sizes for front and rear. I have a set of 17" style 159 wheels for my winter setup, and I swap them out every year.

Each set of wheels has its own TMPS sensors. After changing the wheels, you just need to manually re-initialize the TMPS through the iDrive and it sorts itself out.

193s look great. But man those 194s are rare. Too bad they're 17s

To the original poster, I want to clarify my TPMS comment. My e91 was pre-LCI, but the style 193s I purchased were LCI. The sensors were different, in my experience. On the other hand, the batteries eventually die anyway, so that helped me to justify the expense of new sensors.

Does the E91 have TPMS?
I was informed they have a ride height sensor
Just asking since I plan to change my stock 17’s to the 193M which are 18’s and E91’s have no TPMS

E91's have TPMS. The correct answer is provided by ppointer to his own question, that is, there are differences in sensor systems across model years. Later sensors may not work with earlier cars.

I have no idea what you're referencing re. ride height sensor. Yes, US cars with xenon lights have ride height sensors. Not sure what that is supposed to do with tire pressure sensing though.

OP, those are sharp-looking wheels!
